Felted background - Gefilzter Hintergrund

I'm doing some wet felted pieces as background to use in my new pieces.
Ich mache einige naß gefilzte Stücke, um sie als Hintergrund zu meinen neuen Stücke zu verwenden.

I use silk chiffon as a first layer.
Ich verwende Seidenchiffon als erste Lage.

I felt with one of the best felting wools in the market to get these glowing colours.
Ich filze mit einer der besten Wollen, die man bekommen kann, um den Glanz zu erreichen.

The colour combination adds to the depth...
Die Farbkombination gibt die Tiefe...

...together with the silk fibers.
...zusammen mit den Seidenfasern.

I love these results, they do the same I get with the embellisher mixing wool but have an own quality to them.
I miss the embellisher für some results but I'm very happy with other possibilities of wet felting. You need both things!!
Ich liebe die Ergebnisse, sie sind als ob ich die materialien mit dem Embellisher gemischt hätte aber sie haben eine andere Qualität. Ich vermisse meinen Embellisher für manche Situationen und bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Naßfilzen für Andere. Man braucht beides!!

Modelling - Modell stehen

It was my daughter who took the photos because I was the one who had a red dress for the shawl.
Meine Tochter hat die Fotos gemacht, da ich die Eine war, die ein rotes Kleid hatte.

 

I like very much the way nuno works on cotton or viscose shawls. Even more than on silk...

Ich mag sehr, wie gefilzte BW- und Viskosetücher aussehen, fast mehr als Seidene...

Felting the fire - Feuerfilzen

This is my favorite colour combination. I had to do a shawl for my red dress and I bought once more one of these cotton scarves at the Chinese shop. It was a red print so that I had to put more colours on to get a contrast.

Diese ist meine Lieblingsfarbkombination. Ich wollte einen Schal zu meinem roten Kleid haben und ging zum chinesischen Shop, um wieder einen BW-Schal zu kaufen. Er hatte einen roten Druck so daß ich andere Farben als Kontrast verwendete.

 I will take a picture of my daughter wearing the Shawl tomorrow because I tried something new on the middle of it which I couldn't show on this picture because I hadn't enough light.

Morgen bei Tageslicht werde ich ein Bild von meiner Tochter mit dem Schal machen, da ich in der Mitte vom Schal etwas ausprobiert habe, das ich jetzt nicht gut fotografieren konnte.

 

This wet felting is fun too and I want so much to combine it with the embellisher. But I must learn to wait...

Das Naßfilzen macht so viel Spaß und ich möchte es so viel mit dem Emgellisher kombinieren! Aber ich muß warten lernen...

The Mountains of Alicante - Die Berge von Alicante

Around Alicante there are many mountains that are not as green as in Austria and because of that they have for me a special charme. I found this photo in a blog from Alicante.
Rund um Alicante gibt es viele Berge, die zwar nicht so grün wie in Österreich sind aber eine besondere Ausstrahlung haben. Ich habe dieses Foto in einem Blog über Alicante gefunden.

I did a shawl yesterday that looks very much  like these mountains.

Ich habe gestern einen Schal gemacht, das mich sehr daran erinnert.

I am very happy with the cotton shawls I found at a Chinese shop because I can felt them while I'm waiting for the silk ones I'm going to receive from a friend!
Ich bin sehr glücklich mit den Baumwollschals, die ich in einem chinesischen Shop gefunden habe. Ich kann sie, während ich auf den Seidenen warte, die eine Freundin mir gerade schickt, filzen. 

I took photos from the front and from the back.
Ich habe ihn von vorne und hinter fotografiert.

I decided to sew it as a cowl so that I don't have to worry how I look like when I'm not at home and have no mirror. In Alicante the temperature changes from cool to hot depending of where you are and you don't want to have it on when you travel by bus!
Ich habe ihn wie einen Kragen zugenäht, so daß ich ihn über den Kopf an und ausziehen kann ohne einen Spiegel zu brauchen. In Alicante die Temperatur wechselt von kühl bis heiß, je nachdem wo man sich befindet, und man möchtet ihn nicht in einem Bus tragen!
