Fly me to the moon

Another simple brooch for the ones who like simple things! I was thinking about Valentine day but the heart is not visible...you must imagine it.

The brooch is 3"x 2 1/4" (8x6cm)

It is made using wool in different colors and self dyed threads.

Simplicity

What about simplicity? After Madame Pompadour I wanted to do a brooch keeping it simple.

The photo isn't very good because I scanned it.

It's 2 1/2"x 1 1/2" (7x4cm) and has a pin at the back.

Madame Pompadour

This is a Rococo Madame Pompadour. This time as a pendant.

She is about 4"x2 1/2" (10x7 cm).

I love this handstitching and material mix. This time I also put a bronze detail with pearls to have more weight. It is securely fastened on the top.

Baroque brooch

Today I'm almost finished with the big piece I'm making about the four seasons.

At the same time I did something small, a new brooch trying a new hair dress for the lady.

I saw some documentary films about Marie Therese this week and I think this influenced me...

The brooch is about 3"x2" (7x5cm) and has a pin on the back.

I made it out of self made felt, watercolored with different colors of wool, metallic organza and many pearls and sequins. She is richly hand stitched with self dyed thread.

I hope I learned something new doing this... I try to learn more features of Photoshop once in a while. I bought the book "Photoshop-masking and composing" from Katrin Eismann to learn more about masks... well, I didn't use masks in this one. It turned to be a fish.

I didn't finish the picture though, I stopped now because I sit already too long at the computer.

I had to upoload it to the blog to remember my procrastination...

Ich hoffe, daß ich etwas mit diesem Bild gelernt habe... Ich versuche immer wieder mich mit mehr Möglichkeiten von Photoshop vertraut zu machen. Ich habe das Buch "Photoshop-masking and composing"von Katrin Eismann gekauft, so daß ich mehr über Masken lerne.... na ja, zum Schluß habe ich gar keine Maske in diesem Bild verwendet. Es wurde ein Fisch.

Das Bild ist nicht fertig, ich hörte aber auf, weil ich schon zu lange am Computer saß.

Ich habe es in den Blog geben müssen, so daß ich die Sache nicht vergesse...

Reality behing the fairy tale... - Realität hinter dem Märchen

This is an appraisal for the work my husband does to let this fairy tale come true (the work is never finished...).

If I have a studio and if I get so much inspiration it is because he always stands by me and let my dreams come true.

He enjoys the doing though and loves me to translate him your nice comments about the studio.

We are a good team and trigger each other's imagination, so that his interpretation of my wishes always exceed them!!

Diese ist eine Anerkennung für die Arbeit, die mein Mann hinter den Kulissen leistet, um dieses Märchen Wirklichkeit werden zu lassen (die Arbeit ist nie zu Ende...)

Ich habe dieses Studio, in dem ich so viele Inspiration bekomme, nur weil er immer zu meiner Seite steht, um meine Träume zu verwirklichen.

Er genießt das Machen und er liebt, daß ich ihm die netten Kommentare, die alle hinterlassen, übersetze, wenn sie auf English sind.
