Something - Etwas - Quelque chose...

I don't seem to get nice photos, they have no depth and don't show the structure of the surface of the pieces. I will try to work on it so that they look more like the original...

Beginning of "something". Anfang von "etwas". Commencement de "quelque chose"!

Today I began to play with an idea. I want to combine felting, embroidery and fabic in a quilt. I don't know how big it will be. It depends on the result of my experiments...

You can follow the steps I show. It would be nice to have some people experimenting at the same time and getting inspired in different ways...

I would like to have an experimental blog with lots of interaction, of challenges, quiltalongs, mystery pieces... let's see... I know now is Christmas time and there is no time for these things but I can't stop me and you can come back to this after the holidays!!!

Heute habe ich eine Idee gehabt. Ich wollte Filzen, Sticken und Quilting mit Stoffen kombinieren und damit einen Quilt machen. Ich weiss noch nicht wie gross. Es kommt darauf an, was entsteht...

Sie können meine Schritte folgen. Es wäre nett wenn mehrere Leute glichzeitig experimentieren und folgen ihre eigene Inspiration...

Ich würde gerne im Blog Experimente, viele Interaktion, Challenges, Quiltalongs, Spiele mit Geheimstücke machen... wir werden sehen... Ich weiss, Advent ist nicht die beste Zeit dafür, aber ich kann mich selber nicht stoppen und Sie können nach den Feiertagen zurück zu diesen Ideen kommen!

Aujourd'hui j'ai eu une idee. Je veux combiner le feutrage la broderie et le patchwork dans un quilt. Je ne sais pas de quelle taille, on verra.

Vous pouvez suivre mes pas et faire des expériments au meme temps avec mes inspirations...

J'aimerai bien que mon blog ait beaucoup d'expériments, d'interaction, de défis, de quiltalons et pièces mystère... Je sais que maintemant Noel approche et on n'aura pas le temps de me suivre, mais je ne peut pas m'arreter... Revenez s.v.p. après les fetes!

The fall, the colours of the trees, the white sun, the birds leaving for the south, hiking through the forest, speaking low. Dry flowers on naked stems... A golden promise of fireplaces.

Der Herbst, die Farbe der Bäume, die weisse Sonne, die Vögel, die in den Süden fliegen, wandern duch den Wald, leise Stimmen. Trockene Blumen auf nackten Stielen... Goldenes Versprechen vom Kaminfeuer.

This is the upper part of the piece. I must join them but before there are a couple of things I must take care of...

Dieser ist der obere Teil vom Stück. Ich muss beide Teile verbinden, aber vorher muss ich noch ein Paar Sachen noch machen...

Working on a shrine - Ich arbeite an einen kleiner Altar

I am beginning to work at last! Today I began a small composition with the idea to put it in small box but things have sometimes their own will so that it became a small altar. It isn't finished yet!

Ich fange langsam an, zu arbeiten! Heute habe ich eine kleine Komposition angefangen. Ich wollte sie ursprünglich in eine kleine Schachtel geben, aber es uferte aus... Sie hatte ihren eigenen Willen!

I cut a background fabric and basted it to a piece of dry felt.

I choose some other fabrics for a collage.

Ich habe collage-artig gearbeitet.

I embroider everything together.

News - Neuigkeiten - Nouveautés (utilisez s.v.p. encore le traducteur jusqu'à que je puisse aussi traduire au Francais!)

I am back with a new laptop because the last one left me some months ago while I was moving back to Austria.

Ich habe endlich einen neuen Laptop und kann wieder im Blog arbeiten.


Now I have some news for you. As you know I am in the pension now and I want to enjoy this new state... My blog is going to be less concentrated in the embellisher techniques but is going to show different thechniques I'm using at the moment. I will also will work and give some tips for different techniques:

• felting with the embellisher
• embroidery
• quilting
• knitting or crochet

Auch habe ich Neuigkeiten bezüglich des Blogs. Da ich jetzt in der Pension bin, möchte ich auch mehr Zeit zum Sticken usw. haben. Dadurch dass ich da auch einige Tipps sammle, werde ich sie Euch im Blog mitteilen. Die Techniken, die ich gerne verwende sind:

• mit dem Embellischer filzen
• Sticken
• Quilten
• Stricken oder Häkeln

Back home - De retour chez moi - Zurück zu Hause

I am moving back to Austria, to Leiben (see picture), near my children and the Abbey of Melk on the Danube. I couldn't get used to a big city, one of the largest in the world...

Because of that my next challenge will be in the fall and I'm going to give a new twist to my blog. I will write more and have activities in it. Stay tuned!

As soon as I am finished with the move I will let you know.

Je reviens en Autriche (Leiben, voir photo), près de mes enfants en de l'abbaye de Melk à coté du Danube. 

Mon prochain challenge sera en automne car j'ai besoin de quelques mois pour déménager.
