Quiero presentar mi nuevo Blog argentino escrito en español. Por favor ponganlo en sus favoritos para no tener que pasar por esta página cada vez que lo quieran visitar. De todos modos encontrarán un Enlace en este blog.

Empiezo mis talleres con uno navideño para la época de Adviento que se nos acerca a pasos agigantados e introducir la técnica de fieltro en seco utilizando el "Embellisher". No se necesitan conocimientos previos!

Angelitos cantando

Este taller tendrá lugar el día 30 de Noviembre

de 9 a 12 hs

o el 1° de Diciembre

de 14 a 17 hs

de 19 a 22 hs

El cuadrito para colgar está hecho con una técnica propia de hacer fieltro en seco y no se necesitan conocimientos previos en la materia.

Aprenderán una técnica totalmente nueva y el vellón de lana (de distintos colores), con el que haremos una superficie de colores matizados, está incluído en el precio del taller.

Materiales y herramientas que se necesitan:

Agujas de coser, hilo de coser beige, hilos de bordar para las coronas de los ángeles, tijera

Pedacitos de telas (pueden ser de algodón, organzas, puntillas, seda, etc.) en los colores deseados. En caso de que no tengan en casa, se proporcionarán por 5 $ en el taller.

La lana, alambres y perlas están incluídos en el precio del taller.

Quiero anunciar que he comenzado a ofrecer clases de Patchwork (tradicional y contemporáneo, con énfasis en diseno) y de Arte Textil (con todo tipo de técnicas, incluyendo el trabajo con el fieltro hecho en seco con el Embellisher).

Mi atelier está en Recoleta y creo que pasan todos los colectivos de Buenos Aires por mi esquina!

Los cursos son generalmente de seis clases semanales de dos horas y media cada una, a la manana o a la tarde.

Moi je l’ai remplie de pelottes de fil à broder et je l’utilise parfois comme pique-aiguilles!

This is a bag, you can use it either as an elegant bag to go out or as a decoration for your studio that can be used to stash something (I keep my self dyed threads inside and use it as a handy pincushion), or to put your knitting yarn and needles inside and carry it around the house or when you visit your knitting friends, etc.

I use these Tutorials as a workshop. In each of my tutorials you will find a subject I teach. In this one I show you how to do a ball, to watercolor with wool and last but not least how to knit an I-cord.

The tutorial has more than 100 detail step by step photos.

Here in Argentina we have the beginning of spring and these little angels are flying against a strawberries sky. I used some metallic organza and self dyed threads and I love the little copper flowers I found in Buenos Aires. They have very nice copper ornaments. I am thinking about offering them in the blog/shop.

Hier in Argentinien, der Frühling hat gerade angefangen and diese kleine Engeln fliegen in der mitte eines Erdbeerhimmel. Ich habe Metallorganza und selbstgefärbten Stickfäden verwendet und ich liebe diese kleinen Kupferblumen, die ich in Buenos Aires gefunden habe. Man findet sehr schöne kupferfarbige Ornamente und ich habe gedacht, dass ich sie eventuell im Blog/Shop anbieten kann.

Ici, en Argentine, c'est le printemps et ces petits anges volent dans un ciel de fraises. J'ai utilisé de l'organza métallique et des fils teints. J'adore ces petites fleurs de métal cuivré que j'ai trouvé à Buenos Aires. On trouve de très beaux ornaments, peut etre je vais les offrir dans mon blog/shop.

Aquí en la Argentina ha empezado la primavere y estos angelitos están volando en un cielo de frutillas. Utilicé organza metálica e hilos tenidos. Adoro las florcitas color cobre que encontré en Buenos Aires. A lo mejor las voy a ofrecer en el blog/shop.

Art to wear - Ancestors earrings

These little framed ancestors are the perfect match for a colourful outfit and long hair. They match the argentine summer fashion and I loved them. I did some for me too!
They are about 4" x 2" (10 x 5 cm) and the metall is copper colour and the rest is felted and embroidered the way I always do.

Diese kleine eingerahmte Vorfahren sind toll um sie mit einem bunten Kleid und vielleicht lange Haare zu kombinieren. Sie machen Furore hier in Argentinien und ich habe welche für mich auch gemacht!
Sie sind ca. 10 x 5 cm, haben kupferfarbe und sonst wie meine Kunstsachen bearbeitet.

Ces petits aieux sont parfait pour les combiner avec une robe colorée et peut etre avec de longs cheveux. C'est la grande mode ici à Buenos Aires. J'ai fait une paire pour moi aussi!
Ils ont 10 x 5 cm, Ils sont couleur cuivre et travaillés comme mes choses en feutre.

Estos pequenos ancestros son perfectos para combinar con vestidos de colores y pelo largo. Están de moda en Buenos Aires en este momento y me hice unos para mí también!
Tienen algo así como 10 x 5 cm, color cobre y trabajados como mis piezas de fieltro.

I think these brooches have many possibilities. You can use them as one, on your little black dress with a shawl, for instance, but you can also frame them or sew them on a bag, a box, a cushion, whatever.

I love the process of preparing this new tutorial. It is going to be a special one because I want the piece to be one for an exhibition. With lots of details. I am working on the background now and beginning to "populate" the scene.

Ich liebe diese Broschen, da ich einen tollen Erfolg mit einer von ihnen in einem cocktail hatte. Ich habe sie auf meinem kleinen Schwarzen mit einem lila Seidenschal getragen. Dies veranlasste mich, mehr zu machen.

J'adore faire ces broches car j'ai eu un très grand succès dans une fete où jàvais mis ma petite robe noire avec une de ces broches et un chale de soie mauve.

Beginning of something new

There are things in life that happen and you must change your surroundings, lifestyle, family life...

Here I am in Argentina getting used once more to my "prehistory", taking care of my mother in Buenos Aires and remembering who I was once. Back to the roots...

The full impact of the Colonial Art of Southamerica that inspired much of my work in Europe fell upon me and I realized that the Holy is present everywhere and takes other forms and faces, rituals and places of quiet. I will take the Southamerican imagery as inspiration for my work in the next months.

The world needs an ethic of love and understanding for other people, other countries but also for people next to us. Everything's holy, including nature and life on the planet.

There is a message passed through the centuries that keep us going even in adversity.

Here in Argentina next Sunday is Mother Day. I want to see the work I'm going to approach now as an homage to all women that occupy the place of love and care but also of politics and decisions in an Eve way of seing things!

Hier bin ich jetzt in Argentinien und versuche meine "Urgeschichte" wieder zu finden, ich pflege meine Mutter in Buenos Aires und erinnere mich an wen ich einmal war. Zurück zum Ursprung...

Der volle Impakt der kolonialischen Kunst Südamerikas, der mein Werk in Europa immer begleitet hat, ist wieder über mich gefallen und ich habe gemerkt, dass das Heilige ist überall gegenwärtig, er nimmt andere Formen und Gesichter, Rituale und Plätze der Ruhe. Ich möchte die südamerikanische bildliche Darstellung als Inspiration für meinen nächsten Werke nehmen.

Die Welt braucht eine Ethik der Liebe und Verständnis, für andere Leute, andere Länder, aber auch für die, die in unserer Nähe sind. Alles ist heilig, auch die Natur und das Leben im Planet.

Es gibt eine Botschaft, die durch Jahrhunderte übermittelt wurde, die uns hilft, Widerwärtigkeiten zu überstehen.

Hier in Südamerika ist am Sonntag Muttertag. Ich möchte mein nächstes Werk als Huldigung aller Frauen, die mit Liebe und Zuwendung handeln, aber auch in Politik und der Welt der Entscheidungen walten und alles mit ihrer Eva-art zum Blühen bringen.

Le monde a besoin d'une étique d'amour et compréhension, pour les autres gens, les autres pays, mais aussi pour nos proches. Tout est sacré, la nature, la vie sur la planète.

Il y a un message passé à travers les siècles qui nous aide à vaincre les contrariétés.

Ici à l'Amérique du Sud ce dimanche est le Jour de la Mère. Je veux dédier mes ouvrages prochains aux femmes qui agissent avec amour et dédication, et qui aussi sont présentes dans la politique et le monde des décisions, et qui font que tout fleurisse d'une facon très "Eve".

A veces la vida te obliga a cambiar de ambiente, de modo de vivir, de vida de familia...

Ahora me encuentro en la Argentina tratando de recuperar mi "prehistoria", estoy cuidando a mi madre que vive en Buenos Aires et recuerdo cada día un poco más la María Sara que fui. Reencuentro mis raíces...

La fuerza del arte sudamericano de las colonias me ha impactado una vez más. Siempre lo había hecho y me acompanó en Europa, y he realizado que lo sagrado está en todos lados. Toma solamente otras formas y rostros, rituales y lugares de calma. Quiero utilizas todas esas imágenes como inspiración en los próximos meses.

El mundo necesita una ética de amor y comprensión, para otras gentes, países, pero también para nuestro prójimo. Todo es sagrado, la naturaleza, la vida en el planeta.

Hay un mensaje que pasó a través de siglos y que nos ayuda a vencer las contrariedades.

Aquí en la América del Sur este domingo es el Día de la Madre.

This butterfly fairy ist speaking with a butterfly in her flower garden.

The pendant is about 5" x 3" (12 x 8 cm) and is hand embroidered, felted and has beads and a smaller pendant framed in bronze.
It hangs from a long leather band.

I used a woven southamerican fabric on it.

This little brooch is inspired in the Southamerican tradition. I used woven fabric and self dyed velvet. It is hand embroidered and about 3 1/4"x2 3/4" (8x7 cm). It is filled with wool and has a felted back.
It also has a large safety pin on the back so that you can use it with shawls.

This piece is my first one in Argentina. It is about 10"x6.5"x3" (25x16x8 cm).

I was inspired by traditional Argentinian crafts and used a wonderful woven fabric from the north.

Dieses Stück ist mein Erstes in Argentinien. Es ist ca 25x16x8 cm.

Meine Inspiration waren traditionelle argentinischen Handwerke und ich habe ein gewebtes Stück Stoff vom norden von Argentinien verwendet.

I am now in Buenos Aires trying to get used to everything, life, city, friends, family, etc.

I will try to begin to write in the blog but my machines and material are still finding their way to South America somewhere over the ocean...

I was amazed from the quantity of art and crafts you find in the city and will show you some finds in the next postings.

Today I show you one of the wool shops I visited (there are loads of them!!)

Ich bin ganz weg von der Anzahl und Kunst- und Kunsthandwerksangebote, die diese Stadt bieter und werde versuchen, in den nächsten Tagen hier etwas davon zu zeigen.

Je suis arrivée à Buenos Aires et je suis en train de m'habituer à la vie, ville, amis et famille, etc.

Je vais essayer d'écrire regulierement jusqu'à que mes machines, tissus, laine, etc. arrivent.

À Buenos Aires il-y-a tellement d'art et d'artisanat à voir!! c'est fou, j'adore cette ville! Je vais vous montrer des photos de tout ca dans les prochaines semaines.

I am visiting my daughter and I couldn't resist doing a new fabric cover for my new Kindle. It was desperarately in need of one and I saw in the blog of Anneli that she also solved the problem doing one.

So I asked my daughter for some bits and ends of material and this is the result...

Er brauchte notwendig eine und ich sah im Blog von Anneli, daß sie auch dieses Problem löste, indem sie eine selber machte. Also, ich fragte meine Tochter, ob sie einige Materialreste hatte und dies ist das Ergebnis...

Je suis en train de visiter ma fille ainée et je n'ai pas pu résister le besoind de faire une couverture pour mon nouveau Kindle. Il avait beaucoup besoin d'une et je vis dans le blog d'Anneli qu'elle avait aussi fait une.

Allors, j'ai demandé à ma fille qu'elle me donne quelques restes de tissu et d'autres petites décorations et ceci est le résultat...

Estoy visitando a mi hija mayor y no pude resistir la necesidad de hacer una funda para mi nuevo Kindle. Necesitaba una y vi en el blog de Anneli, que ella también había hecho una. Entonces le pedí a mi hija que me diera algunos restos de material y decoraciones y aquí veis el resultado.

Here I'm enjoying some family life with my daughter Kirsten.

I didn't write for a long time and will do it once more in September. I just want to tell you that there are some major changes in my life. I am going to live in Argentina from now on but will spend the summer months in Austria with my family and giving workshops. This will always happen in July/August so that if you would like me to give some workshop for you, please contact me. I will always be available for this on the summer.

I am going to be in Argentina because my mother has Alzheimer and needs me and I just want to reconnect with my family and friends there now that my children are of age. I need to go back to my roots after 40 years in Austria.

I intend to continue working on my art there but I need to wait for my machines and material which is coming in a container some time later. Now I'm using my time for sketching and planning.

There are lots of things to do and I also had an operation some days ago so that the main theme isn't my art for the moment. Everything is too challenging, thrilling and I also have to say goodbye to friends and places in Austria.

I hope you will be there in September when I come back to the blog and I wish you all nice holidays 2011!!

Allí hay muchísimas creaturas fantásticas. Salen en la primavera y las pequeñas hadas las dibujan en la corteza de los árboles para que los paseantes la puedan ver aunque se hayan escondido.

Spring should be in the air but actually we have a kind of typhoon just now...Whatever, a couple of days before I felt springy and began for once with something different. Inspired by the patchwork beasts from Jude I decided to do my own version.

Frühling sollte in der Luft sein, aber wir haben gerade eine Art Taifun... Egal, vor ein Paar Tage fühlte ich mich frühlingshaft und began mit etwas anderem. Jude und ihre Pachworkbestien inspirierten mich und ich began mit meiner eingenen Version.

Le printemps devrait se sentir dans l'air mais en ce moment nous avons une espèce de typhon... Néanmoins il-y-a deux jours j'ai commencé quelque chose différente. Jude et ses Pachwork betes m'a inspiré et j'ai décidé de faire ma propre version.

La primavera debería sentirse en el aire pero en este momento tenemos una especie de tifón... De todos modos, hace dos días empecé una cosa distinta. Jude y sus bestias de patchwork me inspiró y decidí hacer mi propia versión.
