Actually a tutorial... Eigentlich eine Anleitung... En fait une instruction...

At the end it becomes a tutorial on how to do this technique, it isn't finished yet but I told you I was going to give the tutorials for free now.

The piece will be continuing to grow I think... Not sure about how much.

En fait ceci est devenu une instuction de comment faire cette technique. J'ai décidé de faire désormais mes instuctions gratuitement dans mon blog. La pièce n'est pas encore finie. je ne sais pas quand elle le sera... 



For the appliqué I did a chain of slip stitches and after that I punched it with the embellisher so that it doesn't unravel and looks like a felted stripe. I punched the ends after cutting it so that they also don't unravel and are easy to appliqué. You can see the embroidered parts on the photos. I also did a felted background that works like the batting in quilting and stitched through it to get a nice structure on the surface.






Ich habe eine lange Kette mit Luftmaschen gehäkelt und dann mit dem Embellisher trockengefilzt. Sie sieht wie Filz aus und ist leichter zu biegen und applizieren. Man kann die Stickerein auch auf den Fotos gut sehen. Ich habe das Ganze mit einem Filzstück unterlegt (auch aus Wollvlies trockengefilzt) so dass die Oberfläche (wie beim Quilten mit Volumenvlies unterlegt) durch das Sticken eine schönere Struktur aufweist.




J'ai fait une chaine à crochet et je l'aie feutré à sec avec l'embellisher pour qu'elle ait l'air d'etre une tire de feutre. Elle est ainsi plus facile à appliquer et on peut la couper sans qu'elle se défait.
J'ai aussi feutré une surface en sec pour le dessous de la pièce pour que les points de broderie soient plus  structurés. Elle a la meme fonction que le moleton dans un quilt.
